1887 Half Sovereign London Mint Hooked J, DISH L503 NGC AU58
Victoria (1837-1901),Crowned and veiled Jubilee bust of Queen Victoria left, J.E.B. initials close together raised on truncation with hooked J, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding.
The reverse, crowned quartered high shield of arms, date below either side of bottom of frame, legend commences lower left with toothed border surrounding.
Translation of obverse legend, Victoria by the Grace of God.
Exceptionally rare coin max mintage of 3,397 with circa 20 to 50 examples known to exist according to Marsh. Example is graded and certified by NGC as AU58, DISH L503 R5; Hill 478B; S.3869A.
