Elizabeth II 2008 Undated Mule 20p MS63
Elizabeth II (1952-2022), obverse Fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, legend around. The Reverse shows the lower right section of the Royal Shield, denomination to right segment of rim.
The 2008 Royal Shield reverse design by Matthew Dent does not include the year, which should have appeared on the obverse. A number of coins were struck using the undated obverse die that had previously been used with the dated reverse of the crowned Tudor rose, The Royal Mint estimates less than 250,000 were minted.
